My dear members, a lot of time, energy and passion is being committed to promote our heritage and keep our culture alive. Sincere appreciation to the Culture and Ways and Means committees for their volunteer work for this cause. Events such as the ones on June 23 and July 22 are made possible by our bingo committee and the hours of fundraising they do. Please attend these events and bring a friend or two. If you have other culture ideas please share them. It’s your Club….use it. Looking forward to seeing you. Ma, che bella cultura!

Ladies Auxiliary President’s Message

A special ” thank you ” to Nicolina Mascioli & Amelia Pessotto who assisted Rita Azzano to convene at our May Spaghetti Supper. Feel better soon Rita! Convenors for June 24th Spaghetti Supper will be Louisa Defonzo & Nicolina Mascioli. All are welcome to either volunteer to help out, or invite your friends & families to enjoy a beautiful meal. See you Sunday June 24th @ The Davedi Club!

“NOILA 2018” is fast approaching September 28th-29th-30th @ Dante Club in Timmins! Registration fee – $ 100. + your shared hotel room fee . Payment of $100 deadline is June 24th 2018. Theme this year is Academy Awards. Dante Ladies promise an exciting weekend! If you are interested in attending, please contact Louisa Defonzo @ 705-494-7474 for further details. In order to attend the convention, you must be a paid ladies auxiliary member.

Free Admission. Please see the poster attached to this bulletin for information about food and entertainment (games, Santaluce accordion music, heritage puppet show, inflatables, DJ and dancing). Summer Party at the Davedi. La festa dell’estate. Tickets $30.

Featuring an Italian meal at 6 p.m. and the music of Montreal band Sophistoccasions, music from the 1950s to today’s radio hit songs, with an Italian twist.

Friday September 28

September Swing. Tickets $30.

Featuring an Italian meal and easy listening and dancing to the band Twilight, playing standards, light jazz, Latin and ballads with an Italian twist. 705-474-4190

Sports

Our men’s soccer team has recently started their summer league. We are playing in the Men’s First Division on Wednesday and Sunday nights at Omischl Field (with most games being played at 7:00 P.M). Good luck boys!

Our annual Davedi Club golf tournament is taking place Sunday, July 15 at Pinewood Park Golf Course. Tickets for the event are $60.00 and include dinner, prizes as well as 18 holes of golf! Registration is at 11:00 A.M with a Shotgun Start Tee-Off at Noon. Please contact Vince Orlando, Frank Ricciuti, Joseph Delfino, Benito Zimbalatti, Rob Perrotta and Sandro Cipparrone should you wish to attend the event.
