PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

My Dear Members:

As the days are getting warmer and sunnier, so it is with the Davedi Club. Once more, I would like to thank all of you who responded to my previous messages regarding our Davedi Club monthly General Supper Meetings. We had a great turn-out in February, and the meeting in March had a wonderful atmosphere of friendship and cameratismo. I look forward to this continuing at our next meeting on April 28th.

On behalf of the Davedi Club, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Dylan D’Agostino, grandson of Joseph and Pina D’Agostino, who has recently been drafted by the Hamilton Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League.

We wish him all the best in this new adventure.

9th Annual Order of Merit Presentation Dinner
Saturday October 30th

Tickets are still available for this annual Club event. This year’s honourees include two of our long-serving members Sylvia Antinozzi and Adele Williams. They will be honoured for their many contributions to the North Bay community along with George Couchie, Glenn Cundari, Bob Franklin, and Jim Randle. Tickets are $50 / person or buy complete tables for $40 per person; Cocktails at 5 pm, Dinner at 6 pm. They can be purchased at the Davedi Club office

SPORTS

We would to thank those who attended Wrestlemania 32 at the Davedi Club. It was a great event and hope to host more wrestling events in the near future!

Moving forward, we are hoping to confirm some dates for a ping pong tournament and bocce ball tournament. However, we are pleased to announce that the annual golf tournament is back again this year and is scheduled for Sunday, July 17 at the Pinewood Clarion Resort. Official details will be announced in the near future.

Our Men’s First Division soccer team is getting ready for another season. We are happy to have sponsored a young, energetic youthful group that has represented our Club with success throughout the years.

Dominic Mancuso Group
Friday May 6th

The sensational Juno Award Winning Dominic Mancuso Group will come to the Davedi Club following a European tour. Dominic is a singer, musician, composer and producer from Toronto with roots in Italy playing Sicilian inspired music, jazz and folk.

Dinner at 5.30 $25 includes the show at 7 p.m. Tickets on sale now through the office.

LADIES AUXILIARY PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

At our last meeting we celebrated la Pasquetta with a potluck on April 8th. Next month brings Mother’s Day and we will be doing something special for the ladies at our meeting. Don’t forget to invite your mother and your daughter. New members and guests are always welcome. Happy Spring!
