I hope every family had a great Mothers’ Day. Here at the Club we had a great Mothers’ Day brunch with over 220 people. Thanks to all for a very successful job well done, and special thanks to Sandro and Angela.
Keep these dates open for great events: June 23 Summer Party, July 15 Golf Tournament, July 22 Italian Family Picnic.

We have a great team in the 2 Executives, the General Members and the Ladies Auxiliary. Remember, together we are a force: FORZA TEAM DAVEDI!

Ladies Auxiliary President’s Message

Once more, we have had a busy time at the club. Our April Spaghetti supper was one of our busiest yet with a turnover of over 300 people. Always a lot of excitement and anxiety when this happens. Thanks to the many members who are always smiling and working away at this event. Special thanks to Rita Azzano who has things running as efficiently as possible; she is an inspiration and we need more members like Rita. Thank you to all, who participate and help out at our events. Until next month – stay happy and health

Ladies Auxiliary June Dinner: Tuesday June 12th 2018 – Cocktails 5:15 p.m. & Dinner 6:00 p.m.$ 12.00 for members only. Menu: Hamburgers, Chicken Burgers, Hot Dogs, Variety of Different Salads, Fruit & Special Dessert. Please confirm your attendance by Friday June 1st .
Northern Ontario Italian Ladies Association (NOILA) Convention will be held @ The Dante Club in Timmins September 28-29-30th 2018. The theme is “Academy Awards Night”. They are promising lots of fun!! If you have never been, come & experience it with us! Please confirm with Louisa Defonzo (705) 494-7474 by June 1st 2018 if you are interested in attending. Registration $100. Please make your cheques out to the Ladies Auxiliary of The Davedi Club by June 12th 2018 and leave them to the attention of Louisa Defonzo or Christine Saini. All are welcome!!!

Featuring an Italian meal at 6 p.m. and the music of Montreal band Sophistoccasions, music from the 1950s to today’s radio hit songs, with an Italian twist.

Friday September 28

September Swing Tickets $30

Featuring an Italian meal at 6.30 p.m. and easy listening and dancing to the band Twilight, playing standards, light jazz, Latin and ballads with an Italian twist.

A joint event of the Ways and Means and Cultural committee…..and we’ll need lots of volunteer helpers. To volunteer call the Davedi Club 705-474-4190.
Free admission. Hamburgers, hot dogs and sausage plus soft drink or water $5.00. Cash bar inside the club.

Men’s soccer league will be starting up shortly. The full schedule has not been released as of yet.
The annual golf tournament will take place on Sunday, July 15th at Pinewood Clarion. More details to follow very soon.

We are looking for Volunteers, interested in assisting with Club Events

We are seeking volunteers to help with our Friday Lunches, an opportunity of working with a great team. Time commitment would be from 11 am to 2 pm. Must be able to stand on your feet for the length of our service. If you like people this would be great for you as you get to meet a lot of individuals and other organizations and businesses.

Bingo Nights, working with several other volunteers and committee members.
