My Dear Members:

With the summer months coming to a close, I once again send out my invitation and encouragement to all of you to attend our monthly general meetings. Earlier this year I reminded everyone about how important these meetings are as our fellowship and friendships are the bedrock of our Club. Many of you responded generously and I thank you. I look forward to see you on Thursday September 29.

Notice: October General Meeting
Please remember that nominations for all Club Executive / Directors positions will take place at October General Dinner Meeting Thursday October 27th. If you are considering to run for any of these positions, make sure you are qualified and will be dedicated to serve the Club well in your chosen area. To run for office, you must be a paid member in good standing for the past two years and be a regular attendee of Club meetings. For more information, please call Domenic Muratore at 705-499-2008.

CULTURE COMMITTEE
The Davedi Club presents the opera Cavalleria Rusticana, Mascagni’s greatest opera, a tragic tale of forsaken love and jealous revenge, in Zeffirelli’s video production. Friday September 23. Pizza meal ($10) at 6 p.m., show (no cost) at 7 p.m. Call the Davedi to reserve your meal 705-474-4190. We are using the Verdi room DOWNSTAIRS and the large TV screen.

Sports Committee
The Sports Committee would like to thank those who took part in our Annual Golf Tournament in July. It was a memorable day with great friends, fantastic food and of course golf. Thank you very much to those who sponsored our event as well as all of the volunteers that helped support us on a very busy day.

We would also like to congratulate our 1st Division Men’s Soccer team who fell just short to becoming League Champions in the finals. Thank you for representing the Davedi Club and the rich history that goes with our Men’s Soccer team. We look forward to another year!

With the fall fast approaching, we would like to set-up a Ping-Pong tournament as well as have the Davedi Club accessible for National Hockey League games. We hope to finish 2016 with an enjoyable and exciting experience for both members of the Davedi Club and the public as a whole. Thank you for your continuing support,Frank Ricciuti

Ladies Auxiliary President
Welcome back to all our members! I hope that everyone enjoyed a fun sun filled summer!

The Ladies recently had their September meeting at which we had delicious treats from two of our members as well as a pudding bar. I would like to invite our Ladies and their guests to our next meeting on October 11th at 7pm.

We will be starting our Ladies Auxiliary Spaghetti Suppers again this month. We welcome new and returning volunteers (both Ladies and General Members) to contact Louise Defonzo (ldefonzo@cogeco.ca). Thank you to everyone who has been able to volunteer so far this year!

Our Annual Craft Show is the first weekend of November. We have an excellent line up of Artisans. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Nancy White (nwt31@hotmail.com).
